Kilroot Self Storage

FAQs

Some of the most common questions are answered below. Should you need more information, feel free to reach out and contact us.

What are the benefits of using Kilroot Self Storage?
24/7/365 access to your unit once you have signed up; good security with CCTV and floodlighting; an on-site management team; drive-in access to the facility, great for loading and unloading; and a convenient location just outside Carrickfergus on the Larne Road.
What can I store in my self storage unit?
House contents, business stock, archive files — the list is endless. But no cars (or anything else with a combustion engine) and no hazardous liquids, etc.
Is self storage safe?
Yes. We have manned security on the park together with extensive CCTV and floodlighting. The facility itself is locked, as are the individual units inside.
What time does self storage close?
Once you've signed up, our self-storage units are accessible 24/7/365.
What do your facilities consist of?
Kilroot Business Park is a 60-acre / 700,000 sq ft major industrial facility. One of our 20,000 sq ft warehouse units has been turned into self-storage, using numerous columns that don't suit big-space tenants. Each unit has its own locked roller-type garage door, or double doors. We have around 80 individual units, and access is easy with a high-bay roller door allowing you to drive right into the building.
What unit sizes do you have available?
From standard 3m × 4m units with garage-type roller doors up to more spacious units over 300 sq ft. No matter what size your storage need, we'll do our best to find a solution that works for you. Our on-site management team takes a sensible approach — we won't tell you that you can fit a 4-bed house into a matchbox, and we won't do the smoke-and-mirrors sales pitch to pressure you into a longer contract.
How much does self storage cost?
We offer our standard 3m × 6m units at £200 per month including VAT. Occasionally we have some smaller and bigger units available.
